Suspend the Enforcement Notice at Al-Hira Mosque London
Al-Hira Educational mosque and community centre has been issued with an Enforcement Notice. This Notice was issued on behalf of Newham Borough Council which requires the demolition of the building.
This centre is popular amongst the local Muslim community. Muslims make up 60% of the population of Newham. This centre has provided adequate facilities to pray five times a day.

Al-Hira Masjid (Mosque) and Educational Centre in East London, is a spiritual and educational facility which not only serves as a place of worship, for the Muslims of East London but also strives to lead as an Islamic educational institute. Estabished in 1996, under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Fiaz-ul-Hassan Qadri Sarwari and Sheikh Sutan Niaz-ul-Hassan Qadri Sarwari, the intial purpose of the Masjid (mosque) was to provide the Muslims of the local vicinity (East London) a place of worship, where they could pray five times a day. Recent Developments
The basement retaining walls are completed and the floor slab is completed. The lift pit is also completed, and the body wash area sump has been built. (Click here to read more)
Where we started
In August 1996 a committee was formed for Al-Hira Educational Centre. The site was then brought in 1997. The site was previously used as a black smith’s workshop and an electrical warehouse. (Click here to read more)
